Pricing Factors
Configuration | Pricing Impact |
Core Type | Standard fertility and bulk density cores are priced very differently. |
Grids (2.5 ac, 5ac, 8ac, etc.) | For fertility cores, we're usually $1-2 more expensive than low cost providers. |
Sampling Density (Samples/Ac) | Prices generally decrease as sampling density decreases. |
Zones or Distributed | All else equal, usually more expensive than grids. Often has fewer samples/acre, though. |
# of Cores/Sample | There is a slight upcharge if you're taking more than 8 cores/sample. |
Core Depth | There is a slight upcharge if you're sampling more than 9-in deep. |
Grower vs Retailer | Retailers and coops are generally easier to do business with, and receive better rates than individual growers. |
Special Requirements | R&D projects with special requirements are typically more expensive. |

Fertility Sampling Reservation Discount
A Financial Incentive to Reserve Acres
Program only available for fertility sampling orders over 5,000 ac. Contact Sales for Details
We often sell out our capacity. Reservations let us budget resources to maintain our integrity & reliability.
1. Make a Deposit
Your deposit is either 50% or 100% of your total acres (usually 50%). Discount rates are determined by when the deposit check is postmarked – they start high and decrease every month leading up to the sampling season (see table). Lock in the best rate by mailing your deposit check as soon as possible.
2. Submit Acres, Fill Reservation
During the sampling season, submit your acres as normal. If we sample more acres than you reserved, you’ll pay full price for the added acres. If we sample 90+% of what you reserved, you’ll get half of the discount. If we sample 100%, you’ll get it all.
3. Receive Rebate!
Discount is a rebate, processed at the end of the season.
